Made in the Koshu district near Mt. Fuji Japan. Koshu is known for producing authentic, high-quality Japanese paper. Gasen is a very resilient pulp-based paper, lightly sized to allow finer detail for ink painting, watercolor, Suminagashi (Japanese marbling), calligraphy, and block printing.
One side of the paper is smooth and the other side is slightly rough. Create on the smooth side for best results.
